GNAC Update (Wednesday, Jan. 2)

Seattle Pacific hosts Western Washington Thursday night.
After relative quiet on the hardwood the past few weeks, GNAC action heats back up in a big way Thursday night.

Of the eight men's and women's hoop games on tap Thursday, most eyes will be on Brougham Pavilion in Seattle for a matchup pitting NCAA top 10 teams.

In that contest, seventh-ranked Seattle Pacific hosts fifth-ranked Western Washington. The two clubs have combined for a 19-1 record this season. A number of streaks will be on the line; SPU will try to extend its homecourt winning streak to 13 straight, while the Vikings have won 16 in a row dating to last season. WWU is unbeaten in 10 games this season, and SPU (9-1) owns a five-game win streak.

These two teams last met in the NCAA West Region championship game in Bellingham in March.

If you can't get to the SPU-WWU game in person (and right now it is tracking toward sellout status), make sure to follow all the action on GNAC TV.
