The latest edition of GNAC Insider, the weekly look around the Great Northwest Athletic Conference hosted by Rob Lowery, featured Western Oregon University women's soccer player Selene Konyn, Seattle Pacific volleyball coach Abbie Wright along with Falcons' middle blocker Shaun Crespi, and Central Washington athletic director Dr. Dennis Francois.
Konyn, a junior midfielder, is a veteran on the Wolves' roster and has helped WOU to a 2-1 start in conference play.
Wright is in her second season as the head coach of the Falcons, who have ripped off five consecutive victories and find themselves in a tie for second place in the GNAC. Crespi, a senior, is one of the veteran leaders for SPU.
Francois, the Wildcats' sixth-year athletic director, joined the show to talk about a variety of happenings on the CWU campus, including the renovation of Tomlinson Stadium. Among other changes, Central Washington installed an artificial surface and installed lights. The Wildcats will host West Texas A&M on Saturday in the first night football game at the nearly 50-year-old venue.
