| First official regional rankings come out Wednesday. |
There are no changes atop the men's and women's basketball standings across the three West Region conferences as the regular season enters its final two weeks.
On Tuesday, the West Region "regional advisory committees" -- six-person groups comprised of coaches and administrators for each gender -- officially begin dissecting various data points in determining the top teams in the West, regardless of conference affiliation.
On each of the next three Wednesdays, the NCAA will release regional rankings for both genders. But the only regional rankings that truly matter will be the versions released in the form of the regional postseason brackets which will be unveiled Sunday evening, March 8.

The GNAC, PacWest and CCAA tournament champions in each gender will automatically qualify to their respective NCAA regional championships, but the five remaining slots in each eight-team field are determined by the final regional rankings which will be finalized immediately following the conclusion of the conference tournaments Saturday, March 7.
